IceFyre Hosting Services

We now have most of our essenital services back online on a temporary system. We will have another downtime on Sunday as we make the final configurations before launching the new adress system.

The following services are still down:
Minecraft Test Server
Some shared hosting servers
Garrys Mod Servers
WoW Account Management

We will have a network wide downtime on 1/28/12 from 11:30 am as we configure some network infrastructure. IRC will not be affected by this downtime. We are uncertain at this point, how long the downtime will last, however we expect all services to be online by this afternoon. We will post an update when the downtime is over.

Crafftbukket 1.1 has been deployed on the Multiplicity Test Server! REMEMBER: Only the test server is currently running 1.1 You will still need your 1.0 client to access the live server.

We have not yet released a 1.1 client however, we will most likely release it by the end of the week.

We have setup a new webmail system for the network. All existing @icefyre.org addresses will continue to work until April 1st, after which we will be disabling the old system and using the new one for everything. We have added new accounts for every existing user and emailed a temporary password to their icefyre.org email address. Please begin to move your email by forwarding it to the new address, and make sure to change your email address in everything you have signed up for with it. After April 1st, the @icefyre.org addresses will cease to work, although you will still be able to login to them for archival purposes.

We have made some address changes on the IceFyre Network. The new forums address is forums.icefyre.org

We are starting up a ShoutCAST radio station now that we have more servers and the network speed has been upgraded. However, we need people to DJ the station while the staff can't. We are working on getting an autodj to play songs 24/7, but it will be a few weeks before that is ready. If anyone is interested, please email support@icefyre.org with the times you can DJ.

We are working on finding a good 1-800 number that we can use between all the staff. However, it is taking longer than expected to find what we need. In the meantime, we have another phone number for you to use. It is not toll free, though, so only call it if you can make long distance calls. The number is (706) 341-3973. It can recieve both calls and text messages.

IceFyre is looking to hire 2-3 more people to help us out with the network.

If you want to apply, you need to have a majority of the following qualifications:

- Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server operating systems, must be able to deploy and configure programs on both operating systems.
- Knowledge of game server setup
- Fluent knowledge of HTML, PHP, JavaScript, ASPX, C/C++, or Visual Basic programming languages.
- Experience with high speed networking, IDS, network security, servers, and general networking.
- Knowledge and experience with cloud computing and virtulization.
- Knowledge of popular control panels such as Webmin, cPanel, and DirectAdmin

All IceFyre services are now back online. We have a new adress system for IceFyre users. This system is still in the process of being set up, and should be fully online by Monday afternoon. In the meantime, all services have been transitioned to the new adress system.
